Kabani is a partner at Kaufman & Kabani. For over twenty-five years, he has been providing accounting, tax planning and business advisory services to a diverse clientele in the manufacturing, import, distribution,retail, technology and real estate industries. Additionally, he consults with clients on business setups and development of management teams; developing infrastructure and foundation through business and financial plans; marketing, merchandising and planning services for both domestic and international trade; and evaluating executive-level human resource infrastructure. He also heads the firm’s information technology practice.Prior to joining the firm, Kabani spent ten years with then Big Eight accounting firms including several years of service in the Middle East.
A native of Karachi, Pakistan, Kabani possess accounting and law degrees and is licensed as Chartered Accountant and Chartered Management Accountant in the United Kingdom. He is a recipient of the AICPA’ s Elijah Watt Sells Award for the highest grades on the Uniform CPA Examination and was awarded gold medals for the best papers and test scores on the Chartered Accountants’ examinations.
Kabani is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, California Society of Certified Public Accountants and several trade and professional associations. He is also a certified mediator with the Los Angeles County Bar Association and has managed several mediations. He has served on the boards of various professional and community organisations, including the Qualifications Committee of the State Board of Accountancy in California. He has made numerous presentations on business and financial management topics.
